Service Writer
Pay: $16.00+/hour, depending on experience
Schedule: Monday–Friday

Job Summary
Express Employment Professionals is seeking a Service Writer for a local client. This position is responsible for keeping the service department organized and running smoothly while providing excellent customer service. The ideal candidate is organized, personable, able to multitask, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Answer a high volume of incoming phone calls and assist customers with service-related questions
- Take accurate messages and ensure calls are directed to the appropriate service or parts personnel
- Schedule customer appointments and maintain service calendars
- Greet and check in customers when they arrive for service
- Listen to customers' concerns and gather information about needed repairs or services
- Communicate customer needs clearly to service technicians and parts personnel
- Keep customers informed about appointment times, service progress, and completion
- Maintain accurate customer and service records
- Assist with coordinating service schedules and keeping the service department organized
- Handle multiple customers, phone calls, and tasks while maintaining attention to detail
- Work closely with the service and parts departments to keep jobs moving efficiently
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a service writer, service advisor, service coordinator, or similar customer-facing role is preferred
- Experience with trailers, horse trailers, RVs, automotive, or other recreational vehicles is a plus
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
- Able to learn computer systems and scheduling software quickly
- Professional, dependable, and team-oriented
- Must be able to prioritize tasks and work with a sense of urgency
Preferred Experience
Candidates with previous experience in a dealership, repair shop, trailer/RV service department, parts department, or similar environment are encouraged to apply. Training may be available for the right candidate with strong customer service and organizational skills.
