Paint Technician
Pay: $18Schedule: Full-Time | Day Shift
Position Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Paint Technician to join a production team. This role is responsible for applying high-quality paint finishes to manufactured products while ensuring all work meets quality, safety, and production standards.
Key Responsibilities
Apply paint coatings using spray guns, brushes, or rollers
Ensure proper color matching, thickness, and finish quality
Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and applying primer as needed
Inspect finished products for quality and correct any defects or imperfections
Mix and prepare paint materials to proper specifications
Operate and maintain painting equipment to ensure consistent results
Perform routine maintenance and report equipment issues as needed
Maintain inventory of paints, solvents, and related supplies
Assist with moving products to drying areas and staging for next steps
Load, unload, and stack materials for continued production or packaging
Operate equipment such as forklifts or cranes (as required)
Apply seam sealers and other finishing materials
Keep work areas and paint booths clean and organized
Follow all safety procedures and properly use required PPE
Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required
Previous experience in painting or a similar manufacturing role preferred
Knowledge of paint application techniques and surface preparation
Ability to mix, match, and apply finishes accurately
Strong attention to detail and quality standards
Familiarity with safety procedures in a painting environment
Ability to work well in a team setting and communicate effectively
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand, walk, and perform repetitive tasks throughout the shift
Frequent use of hands and tools
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs as needed
Ability to safely operate a forklift (certification preferred or willing to obtain)
Work Environment
Industrial/manufacturing setting
Exposure to paint, solvents, and chemicals (PPE required)
Fast-paced production environment
