Junior Buyer / Purchasing Assistant
Pay: $18.00/hour
Location: Amarillo, TX
Schedule: Full-Time, M-F 8am-5pm
We are seeking a motivated, detail-oriented individual for an entry-level Junior Buyer / Purchasing Assistant opportunity. This is a great position for someone with strong business sense who wants to begin a career in purchasing, procurement, supply chain, or manufacturing operations. We are looking for someone who is organized, eager to learn, comfortable working with numbers and details, and interested in building a long-term career.
What You'll Do
Assist with creating and managing purchase orders
Communicate with vendors regarding orders, pricing, and deliveries
Monitor open orders and help ensure materials arrive on time
Research and help resolve order or inventory discrepancies
Assist with maintaining appropriate inventory levels
Review pricing and assist with cost comparisons
Work with production, logistics, quality, and other departments to identify material needs
Assist with Bill of Material (BOM) verification
Help forecast component and material needs
Maintain accurate purchasing and inventory information
Use company software and Microsoft Office for daily tasks
Handle email correspondence and attend department meetings
Learn purchasing, vendor management, inventory, and procurement processes
