Safety Lane Technician
Express Employment Professionals is seeking a Safety Lane Technician for a local company in Canyon, TX.
Pay: $15.00/hr

Job Description
The Safety Lane Technician will be responsible for inspecting trucks, trailers, and other equipment to ensure they are safe and ready for operation. This position is ideal for someone who is mechanically inclined, enjoys hands-on work, and has strong attention to detail.
Responsibilities
- Perform safety inspections on trucks, trailers, and equipment.
- Inspect brakes, tires, lights, suspension, steering, and other safety components.
- Identify mechanical and safety issues and report findings to the appropriate personnel.
- Perform basic repairs, adjustments, and maintenance as needed.
- Use hand tools and power tools safely.
- Complete inspection paperwork and maintain accurate records.
- Follow all company safety procedures and applicable regulations.
- Keep the work area clean and organized.
- Assist with general shop and maintenance duties as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Previous mechanical, automotive, diesel, trailer, or equipment experience is preferred but not required.
- Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.
- Ability to use basic hand and power tools.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Dependable attendance and a strong work ethic.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must be comfortable working around trucks, trailers, and heavy equipment.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, bend, stoop, kneel, and work in various positions throughout the workday.
- Ability to lift and move tools and equipment.
- Ability to work in a shop and outdoor environment.
- Ability to work in varying temperatures and weather conditions.
