We are now hiring skilled Structural Welders for a local company seeking dependable, safety‑focused, and highly experienced welders.
Key Responsibilities
- Calibrate welding tools and equipment based on Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS).
- Read and interpret blueprints and structural drawings to lay out work accurately.
- Secure and position structural components using clamps, braces, jacks, and bolt straps.
- Perform fillet, tack, and full‑penetration welds on steel structures and foundations.
- Utilize welding processes such as GMAW (MIG) and FCAW (Flux Core).
- Weld in multiple positions: vertical, horizontal, flat, and overhead.
- Perform post‑weld finishing such as cleaning, buffing, and polishing.
- Troubleshoot structures to identify and repair welding defects.
- Follow all safety procedures and maintain clean, organized work areas.
Experience & Requirements
- Must be able to read a tape measure accurately.
- Strong, dependable work ethic with regular and punctual attendance.
- Superior welding skills with ability to meet exact specifications and WPS standards.
- Must be able to read and interpret blueprints and structural shop drawings.
- Hands-on experience setting up welding equipment per job requirements.
