Industrial Mechanic Repair Class A August 4, 2025

Located in Garland, TX

Pay: $32/HR+ (DOE)

Express Employment Garland has partnered with a company in Wylie, TX, to recruit an Industrial Mechanic Repair Class A to join their team.

Requirements:

Five years of related maintenance technician experience and/or training in an industrial manufacturing environment.
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one situations to other employees of the organization and to vendors.
Ability to use a personal computer with working knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
Ability Use a multi-meter to perform checks energized and non-energized electrical components-IE. check fuses, voltage, resistance, solenoids, continuity, etc.
Must have ability to obtain a forklift and man lift license.
Must have strong mechanical and electrical skills.
Must be willing to work any shift.
Must be able to explain and demonstrate the steps to a proper LOTO.

Responsibilities:

· Visually inspect and listen to machines and equipment to locate causes of malfunctions

· Dismantle machines and equipment to gain access to problem areas

· Inspect and measure parts to detect wear, misalignment or other problems using tape measure, digital calipers and indicator.

· Perform preventive and routine maintenance on equipment

· Repair and maintain plant machinery and equipment

· Proficient at using hand tools, portable electric tools and stationary plant equipment

· Remove and replace worn or defective parts of drive mechanism or hydraulic system

· Realign and adjust components such as spindles and clutches

· Locate damaged air and hydraulic pipes on machine and measures, cuts, threads and installs new pipes

· Start machines and equipment to test operation following repair

· Repair broken parts

· Set up and operate metalworking tools such as lathe, drill press or grinder to make or repair parts

· Perform preventable maintenance on machines and equipment

· Support Quality and Environmental Management Systems as required

· Performs other duties as assigned

Pay: $32/HR+ (DOE)

Schedule: Monday-Friday/4:30 AM to 4:30 PM
