Job Full Description
Express Employment Garland has partnered with a local company in Garland, TX, to recruit Janitorial/General Labor Help Workers to join their team.
Must be willing to travel all over the DFW Area!
Responsibilities:
- Routine Cleaning:
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and sanitize floors, walls, fixtures, and furniture
- Empty trash, replace liners, and dispose of waste in accordance with OSHA and local regulations
- Restoration Support:
- Remove debris, damaged materials (drywall, carpeting), and prepare job sites
- Assist in packing and moving furniture, equipment, and personal items
- Set up containment barriers, drop cloths, and floor protection for specialized crews
- Equipment Handling:
- Load and unload trucks with cleaning supplies, tools, and restoration equipment
- Maintain and clean company vehicles, tools, and machines (e.g., dehumidifiers, air movers)
- Safety & Compliance:
- Follow established safety protocols, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Report any hazards, maintenance issues, or incidents to the supervisor immediately
- Customer Interaction:
- Greet clients courteously and answer basic questions about the work being performed
- Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor on client sites
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous custodial, landscaping, warehousing, or general labor experience a plus
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Able to pass background check and drug screening
Schedule: 24/7 *Must be willing to be on call
Pay: $20/HR *if called on before midnight, $23/hr *if called between midnight and 4 AM
Travel Involved:
Indoor and outdoor environments may involve exposure to dust, chemicals, and varying temperatures
Fast-paced and deadline-driven job sites, including emergency call-outs for 24/7 restoration work
Use of cleaning agents and heavy equipment; full PPE
