Express Employment Professionals Garland has partnered with a company in Garland, TX to actively recruit a Logistics Specialist to join their team.
Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Logistics Specialist to support international shipping and documentation processes. This role focuses on export documentation, compliance, and coordination of freight shipments while ensuring accuracy and efficiency in logistics operations.
Pay Rate: $22 – $28 per hour (depending on experience)
Key Responsibilities:
Export Documentation:
Prepare export documentation including Bills of Lading, Shipper’s Letter of Instruction (SLI), invoices, packing lists, and shipping labels.
Compliance & Filing:
File Shippers Export Declarations (SEDs) and ensure all documentation complies with international shipping regulations.
Verification:
Verify country of origin, Importer of Record (IOR), and applicable Incoterms for shipments.
Shipment Coordination:
Track, trace, and coordinate freight shipments while communicating updates as needed.
Issue Resolution:
Follow up on documentation discrepancies and shipment updates to ensure timely delivery and compliance.
Requirements:
• Minimum 2 years of international logistics or import/export experience
• Experience with export documentation and compliance
• ERP/MRP or logistics software experience preferred
• Knowledge of FedEx, UPS, or DHL shipping systems
• Strong organizational and communication skills
Schedule:
Monday – Friday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
