Interprets and implements HUD regulations and guidelines

Maintains client physical and computer-based case files and records with accuracy and efficiency

Reviews case files for program compliance to assure all documentation, information and signatures are current and consistent, complete, and accurate as required by the Housing Authority, HUD policies and regulations, and all other applicable Federal, State and local laws

Ensures that participants know and understand they cannot lease up outside of operating area

Answers telephone calls from participants and responds to routine calls and routes calls as necessary per SOP

Initiates telephone calls as requested to do so by supervisor and provides feedback
-
Establishes and maintains all office files in accordance with procedures and instructions of supervisors

Serves as custodian of office files

Prepares reports as instructed and completes other technical assignments in support of the department’s work load

Mail out appointment notices with the designated time

Adheres to all Housing Standard Operating Procedures

Maintains office files in a neat and orderly fashion and files documents properly within 2 business days of receipt

Attends departmental and Authority-wide staff meetings
-
Deals with the public and residents in a pleasant and courteous manner, both in person and over the telephone

Possesses ability to multi-task and perform efficiently in a fast-paced work environment

Communicates effectively both orally and in writing

Conducts group presentations for maximum comprehension

Possesses sensitivity to persons from culturally diverse backgrounds, persons with special needs and the homeless

Maintains effective working relationships with staff, representatives of local government, program participants, community-based organizations and the public

Works independently with minimal supervision

Handles large volume of inquiries, telephone, email and written communications
