Position Type: Business Administration and Accounting Manager
Pay: $25.00/hr
Location: Houston, TX 77058
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8-5.
Key Responsibilities
- Office administration staff to provide administrative, technical and accounting support to management and the departments of the firm
- Payroll administration and reporting
- Financial records and reporting, including TRAVERSE accounting software and QuickBooks
- Monthly general ledger
- Interpretation of accounting data and development of reports
- Accounts receivable and payable management
- Monitoring of cash balances and returns
- Cost analysis and management
- Human Resources records keeping, coordination, and compliance reporting
- Manage certifications and licensing for the firm and personnel
- Marketing coordination, records keeping, implementation as needed
- Maintenance of websites and social media
- Client database management – accounting and marketing
- Electronic systems coordination, including acquisition, maintenance, repairs, enhancement
- Software, system back-ups and cyber-security co-ordination
- Record keeping and maintenance coordination for equipment and vehicles
- Support of bid preparation, proposal development and report writing
- Employee benefit coordination including 401K program and insurances
- Policy and Procedure manual updating and OSHA compliance reporting
- Technical Training coordination
- Management of filing systems within the company
- Assistance to the President and Board of Directors as required
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Business management or accounting degree or equivalent business experience
- Experience with hands-on full charge-bookkeeper responsibilities with a small firm
- Experience with ERP-type and job-costing software; OSAS software experience preferred
- Office Management experience – 5 years
- High proficiency with Microsoft or similar word processing, spreadsheet, presentation and database software
- Computer network set-up and maintenance oversight experience
- Website and social media management experience
