Position Type: Maintenance Mechanic
Pay: $20.00/HR
Location: Baytown, TX
Schedule: Monday - Friday 7:30am - 4pm
Key Responsibilities
• Perform repairs and modifications on steam piping systems
• Assist with replacement of pipes, valves, fittings, and flanges
• Support installation and repair of steam tracing systems
• Perform bench work including cutting, threading, grinding, drilling, and fitting pipe
• Perform plant work including removal and installation of piping in operating areas
• Assist with welding tasks related to piping and supports (intermediate level)
• Perform work at height using Ladders, scaffolding, or lifts
• Follow all plant safety procedures( LOTO, hot work permits, PPE, Fall protection)
• Maintain safe and organized work areas
• Communicate progress and issues to the Maintenance Supervisor.
Qualifications
• 2-5 years of experience in industrial mechanical maintenance or piping work
• Hands-on experience with steam piping systems, pipe fittings and mechanical assembly, Intermediate Welding (MIG or Stick).
