Position Type: Quality Technicians
Pay: $17.00/HR
Location: Houston , TX
Schedule: Monday - Friday 7 AM - 6 PM
Key Responsibilities
-
Machine or Mill test specimen for mechanical testing. (CNC Lathe, Bandsaw, and Drill Press)

Prepare test samples from provided material coupons for chemical testing.

Tests in-process materials, raw materials and finished products.

Write technical reports or documentation such as testing reports.

Interprets test results, compare them to established specifications and control limits.

Calibrate, validate or maintain laboratory equipment.

Reject products or materials not meeting specifications.

Clean and maintain measuring instruments or test equipment, such as dial indicators, calipers, fixed gages or height gauges.

Ensure that laboratory cleanliness and safety standards are maintained.

Monitor testing procedures to ensure that all tests are performed according to established item specifications, standard test methods or protocols.

Prepare or review required method transfer documentation including technical transfer protocol or reports.

Wear all required PPE, to include eyes, face, hand, and foot protection.

Be able to read, comprehend and adhere to the company's Process Management System requirements and provide improvement recommendation as needed.

In the daily work employee must follow and apply the company's Guiding Principle.

Immediately reports quality, safety and/or environmental problems and follow-up on their resolution.

Be able to lift 75 lbs, and work in various positions, such as standing, bending, kneeling etc.

Performs other duties as assigned by manager, supervisor and/or lead person.
