POSITION TITLE: Parts Specialist II
REPORTS TO: Parts Supervisor
SCHEDULE: Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM
STARTING PAY: $14.50 per hour
POSITION SUMMARY
The Parts Specialist II is responsible for providing internal customer service and sales support, managing inventory, ordering parts, processing purchase orders and invoices, and ensuring FAA compliance in all parts-related functions. This role is essential to the efficient operations of the Maintenance & Avionics Departments.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Fulfill parts requests for Maintenance & Avionics teams
- Conduct oil inventory counts (morning & evening)
- Open/close purchase orders; match invoices to orders
- Research and order parts using vendor databases; ensure best pricing
- Perform daily inventory audits and update TFBO system
- Restock inventory and remove expired parts monthly
- Maintain “must-have” inventory for most-serviced aircraft
- Submit daily purchase orders and receipts to supervisor/accounting
- Prepare invoices for customer direct parts sales
- Ship, receive, and properly store parts
- Weekly ordering of department supplies
- Maintain MAC shirt inventory
- Accurately file all parts and purchase documentation
- Follow FAA regulations and Repair Station Manual procedures
- Maintain professional communication and follow assigned schedule
REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 2 years of admin and customer service experience
- Aviation background preferred
- Knowledge of aircraft parts and vendor systems
- Experience with inventory systems (TFBO preferred)
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Knowledge of safety procedures and FAA compliance
