Produce Packer / Repacker – Warehouse
Location: McAllen, TX
Pay: $10.00 per hour
Schedule: 10:00 AM – Close (10–12 hour shifts; hours may vary)
Position Summary
Express Employment Professionals is hiring reliable Produce Packers / Repackers for a busy produce distribution warehouse in McAllen, TX. This hands-on position involves sorting, inspecting, and repacking fresh produce such as figs and limes to ensure quality and proper presentation for distribution. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, dependable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
Job Duties
- Inspect fresh produce such as figs, limes, and other fruits for quality, size, and appearance
- Sort and remove damaged or spoiled produce from inventory
- Pack and repack produce into boxes or containers for shipment
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary packing area
- Follow all food safety, hygiene, and warehouse safety procedures
- Assist with general warehouse tasks including packing, stacking, and preparing orders
- Work as part of a team to meet daily production and packing goals
Qualifications
- Ability to stand and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods
- Strong attention to detail and reliability
- Ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse or production environment
- Previous experience in produce handling, packing, or food processing is a plus but not required
- Ability to follow safety and sanitation procedures
