Quality Control Associate – Cold Storage Produce Facility
Location: McAllen, TX Area
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM (Occasional Saturdays Required)
Pay: $13 - $15 per hour
Express Employment Professionals is seeking detail-oriented Quality Control Associates for a cold storage produce facility in the McAllen area. This position is responsible for inspecting incoming and outgoing produce shipments, maintaining quality standards, and supporting inventory and reporting processes in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspect incoming and outgoing produce shipments for quality, freshness, and accuracy
- Document quality findings and maintain accurate inspection records
- Take and submit photos of damaged or non-conforming produce shipments
- Prepare and send reports using email, Microsoft Word, and Excel
- Communicate shipment discrepancies and quality concerns to management
- Assist with data entry, tracking, and general warehouse documentation
- Maintain cleanliness and organization within the work area
- Follow all food safety, warehouse, and quality control procedures
Qualifications
- Previous produce, warehouse, or quality control experience preferred
- Basic to intermediate computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and email communication
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Reliable attendance and strong communication skills
