Medical Office Specialist – Cardiology Clinic
Location: Mission & Edinburg, Texas
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
Pay: $16.00 per hour

Position Summary
We are seeking a dependable and professional Medical Office Specialist to join our cardiology clinic team serving patients in the Mission and Edinburg, Texas areas. The Medical Office Specialist will provide front-office and administrative support while helping ensure patients receive a welcoming, efficient, and professional experience.
The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, compassionate, and comfortable working in a fast-paced medical office environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet patients and provide courteous, professional customer service.
- Schedule, confirm, and coordinate patient appointments.
- Check patients in and out and collect required information.
- Verify patient demographics, insurance information, and eligibility.
- Answer incoming calls and assist patients with questions or direct calls appropriately.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
- Assist with referrals, authorizations, and other administrative processes.
- Communicate effectively with physicians, clinical staff, patients, and insurance representatives.
- Handle medical office paperwork, scanning, filing, and data entry.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and follow HIPAA requirements.
- Assist with daily office operations and support the cardiology team as needed.
- Provide professional and compassionate service to patients throughout their visit.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Previous medical office, healthcare, customer service, or administrative experience preferred.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Professional and courteous telephone manners.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Basic computer and Microsoft Office skills.
- Ability to maintain patient confidentiality.
- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
Pay: $16.00/hour
