Full Job Description
We are hiring an experienced Welder Foreman for a construction plant company in Victoria, TX. This position will oversee a crew of 4 and ensure welding operations are completed safely, efficiently, and to quality standards.
This role is ideal for a hands-on leader who can both manage a team and perform welding tasks as needed.
Essential Functions
• Supervise and lead a team of 4 welders
• Perform welding tasks as needed (MIG, Stick, etc.)
• Read and interpret blueprints and weld specifications
• Ensure work is completed safely and meets quality standards
• Train and guide team members on proper techniques
• Maintain workflow and meet production deadlines
• Inspect completed work and ensure accuracy
Skills & Competencies
• Strong welding experience (MIG, Stick preferred)
• Leadership or supervisory experience
• Ability to read blueprints and welding diagrams
• Strong attention to detail and safety
• Ability to manage time and team productivity
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
• Previous welding experience
• Experience leading or supervising a crew
Preferred:
• Experience in a construction or plant environment
• Structural welding experience
Physical Requirements
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Ability to stand, bend, and work throughout the shift
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
