Position Summary
The Front Desk Shift Lead plays a key role in ensuring smooth daily operations at the organization’s reception area. This position supports staff, volunteers, and visitors by providing exceptional customer service, overseeing front-desk procedures, and serving as the point person during assigned shifts.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all front-desk activities during assigned shifts, ensuring consistent professionalism and service quality.
- Greet visitors, clients, donors, and community members with warmth and respect.
- Answer and route incoming calls, emails, and inquiries promptly.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming reception area.
- Provide real-time guidance and support to front-desk staff and volunteers.
- Escalate concerns to management when necessary.
- Monitor daily sign-ins, visitor logs, and appointment schedules.
- Assist with distributing mail, packages, and internal communications.
- Support event check-ins, meeting room coordination, and client flow management.
- Provide assistance, resources, and information to guests and clients with empathy and professionalism.
- Identify and respond to urgent needs or safety concerns following established protocols.
- Monitor building entry, ensuring only authorized individuals access restricted areas.
- Report maintenance or security issues promptly.
Qualifications
- Prior front-desk, receptionist, or customer-service experience required; leadership experience preferred.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and conflict-resolution skills.
- Ability to remain calm and organized in a fast-paced or crisis-driven environment.
- Proficiency with common office software and phone systems.
- Commitment to the values, mission, and community-focused work of the organization.
Pay $18/hr
