Position Summary
The Customer Service Representative (CSR) is responsible for managing the full lifecycle of customer orders—from initial inquiry and order entry through fulfillment, shipping, and post-delivery follow-up. This role serves as a key liaison between customers, production, warehouse, and logistics teams to ensure accurate, timely, and high-quality delivery of tangible goods.
Key Responsibilities
- Process customer orders, quotes, and inquiries with accuracy and urgency.
- Enter, review, and update orders in the ERP/WMS (JDE) system, ensuring correct part numbers, pricing, lead times, and shipping instructions.
- Monitor order progression from entry through production, inventory allocation, and shipment.
- Coordinate with production scheduling, warehouse, and logistics to resolve delays or capacity constraints.
- Track shipping schedules and proactively notify customers of order status, changes, or delivery confirmations.
- Respond promptly to customer inquiries regarding product availability, production timelines, and shipment details.
- Help customers navigate issues such as backorders, transportation delays, and product returns.
- Maintain strong relationships built on responsiveness, accuracy, and follow-through.
- Utilize WMS/ERP to enter orders, adjust quantities, verify inventory levels, release pick tickets, and generate shipping documents.
- Work closely with internal teams including Sales, Production, Warehouse, Quality, and Accounting to ensure alignment on customer needs.
- Coordinate with shipping carriers to arrange pickups, track outbound shipments, and resolve freight-related issues.
Qualifications
Required
- 2+ years of customer service or order management experience in a manufacturing or product-based environment.
- Hands-on experience with ERP/WMS systems, specifically JD Edwards (JDE).
- Strong communication skills—written, verbal, and professional.
- Ability to manage multiple orders and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word).
- Background in industrial, fabrication, manufacturing, or distribution industries.
Pay $20 - 23/hr
Hours: training 8am - 4pm Monday - Friday, thereafter 6am - 3pm Monday - Friday
