Systems of Care Manager

Location: Kitsap County, WA (Primarily In-Office-Bremerton)

Reports to: Executive Director

FLSA Status: Exempt | Full-time

Our work is rooted in a trauma-informed lens and guided by the belief that sustainable change happens when we work together.

 

We are seeking an energetic and relational leader responsible for promoting programs throughout Kitsap County, building public will for its goals around increasing the capacity of protective factors and bridging strong partnerships with community agencies, educators, faith and business leaders, and others.
The primary goal for this position is to build deep, trust-filled relationships with organizational leaders to build organizational capacity in systems of care and trauma-informed strategies, including the Handle with Care program and Collective Hope. This position will also work in close partnership with team members to identify and build deep
relationships with community leaders who represent and serve populations that have historically and currently been excluded from decision-making processes in our community
(communities/populations often referred to as “marginalized”, “under-served”, “vulnerable”,
etc.).

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Community Engagement & Relationship Building – Foster inclusive, trauma-informed, and hope-centered partnerships across diverse organizations and communities while promoting awareness and ownership of initiatives. 
  • Facilitation & Learning – Design and lead trainings, listening sessions, and professional development opportunities that build shared knowledge of trauma-informed care, equity, and hope-centered practices.
  • Research & Data – Collect stories of impact, analyze community data, and use systems thinking to identify leverage points and communicate outcomes through reports, visuals, and storytelling.
  • Innovation & Program Development – Collaborate with leadership and partners to design and implement creative strategies, programs, and communities of practice that advance trauma-informed and restorative approaches.
  • Advocacy & Policy Influence – Represent the initiative locally and statewide, champion policies supporting children, youth, and families, and amplify partner voices in advocacy and decision-making spaces.
  • Operations & Coordination – Manage training logistics, contractors, and the Speakers Bureau while maintaining accurate records, meeting deadlines, and supporting collaborative processes.

 

Qualifications

Required:

  • Strong relational community organizing and collaboration skills; demonstrated capacity to
    coordinate and facilitate processes, people, and partnerships; and develop strong trusting
    relationships.
  • Experience with facilitation and coordination of meetings, events, trainings.
  • Commitment to Relationships - listens vs. talks; inquires vs. asserts; believes relationships have
    inherent value beyond the immediate endgame. 
  • Ability to speak and write in a clear, concise, respectful, and thoughtful manner. 
  • Integrative thinker, listener, and communicator as a collaborative partner and guide. 
  • Inclusive - uses the art of honestly reflecting the various perspectives to draw people into deeper
    exploration towards shifting power. 
  • High level of credibility and integrity. A mindful and self-aware team player. 
  • Strong command of Microsoft Office computer software programs 
  • Independent tech competence in document, spreadsheet, and presentation software (e.g., MS
    Office Suite and/or Google Docs) 
  • Ability to drive and provide own insured vehicle for visiting partners throughout Kitsap County

 

Preferred:

  • Experience working in small, community-based nonprofits.
  • Familiarity with Kitsap County community resources.
  • Comfort with occasional hands-on event support.

 

Work Environment & Schedule:

  • While primarily based in-office, this role offers flexible scheduling to support major events and occasional remote work as needed
  • Dynamic, collaborative, and supportive small-team environment.

 

Compensation & Benefits
