Overview:
If you are interested in making a difference in the life of others, a charitable organization committed to meeting human needs is currently seeking a dedicated individual to join their team kitchen team to help provide nutritious meals to those in need and create a positive impact in the community.
JOB DUTIES:
May include but not limited to the following:
- Assist in meal preparation, including chopping vegetables, preparing sauces, and cooking proteins.
- Follow recipes and portion control guidelines to ensure consistency and quality of food.
- Work closely with the head cook to coordinate meal service and ensure timely delivery.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen, including washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, and disposing of waste properly.
- Adhere to all food safety and sanitation regulations, including proper storage and handling of food products.
- Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels and informing management of any shortages or discrepancies.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations and a positive work environment.
Qualifications:
- Previous work experience in commercial kitchen preferred, but not required
- Ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately
- Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Reliability
- Positive attitude
Hours/Shift:
Monday-Friday, 7:30AM-3:30PM
Pay:
$18.00/hour
