Job Full Description
Overview: A local education office in Bremerton is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Custodian to maintain the cleanliness and overall appearance of the building and surrounding grounds. This role is essential to ensure a clean, welcoming, and well-maintained environment for staff and visitors. Seasonal duties include snow and ice removal during winter months.
JOB DUTIES:
May include but not limited to the following:
- Perform daily cleaning of offices, restrooms, hallways, and common areas (sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, trash removal, etc.)
- Restock restroom and breakroom supplies as needed
- Maintain building grounds, including basic landscaping tasks such as leaf pickup or debris removal
- Conduct regular inspections to identify maintenance or safety issues and report them promptly
- Perform snow and ice removal from walkways, entryways, and sidewalks during winter months
Requirements:
- Previous custodial or janitorial experience preferred
- Dependability, attention to detail, and strong time-management skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Willingness to work in varying weather conditions for outdoor tasks
Pay: $24.50-$29.29/hour DOE
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 3:00pm-7:00pm
