Job Full Description
Overview: We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Tile & Finish Specialist for a local construction company specializing in residential remodels. This position requires a strong background in tile installation and finish/detail work, along with the ability to communicate effectively and follow both written and verbal instructions. The ideal candidate takes pride in craftsmanship, accuracy, and delivering high-quality finish work.
JOB DUTIES:
May include but not limited to the following:
- Install tile on floors, walls, showers, backsplashes, and other surfaces in residential and/or commercial projects
- Perform detailed finish work, including layout, cuts, edging, grouting, sealing, and repairs
- Read and interpret drawings, plans, and written instructions
- Follow verbal direction from supervisors and project managers accurately
- Prepare surfaces properly, including measuring, leveling, waterproofing, and substrate preparation
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas
- Communicate clearly with team members, supervisors, and other trades on job sites
- Identify and report issues, discrepancies, or material needs in a timely manner
- Ensure work meets company quality standards and project specifications
Requirements:
- Proven experience in tile installation and finish/detail work
- Strong attention to detail and quality craftsmanship
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions consistently
- Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
- Knowledge of tools, materials, and techniques used in tile and finish work
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Ability to lift heavy materials, stand for extended periods, kneel, bend, and work in various conditions
- Comfortable working on ladders and in tight or confined spaces
- Experience in custom or high-end tile work
Pay: $25-$35/hour DOE
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:30-4:00
