Overview:
Express Employment Professionals is hiring a motivated Locksmith Trainee for a local company. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to start a long-term career in a skilled trade—no previous locksmith experience required! Training will be provided for the right candidate who is eager to learn and grow.
Job Duties:
May include but are not limited to the following:
- Respond to service calls to assist with residential, commercial, and automotive locksmith needs
- Install, repair, and replace locks, keys, and security systems
- Provide emergency lockout services
- Travel to job sites using company vehicle
- Deliver excellent customer service while on calls
- Learn locksmith tools, techniques, and safety procedures on the job
- Maintain accurate service records and communicate with dispatch
Requirements:
- Valid driver’s license required
- Clean background check
- Strong willingness to learn a new trade
- Ability to work independently and on-call when needed
- Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Reliable, punctual, and professional attitude
- Customer service experience is helpful but not required
Hours/Shift:
- Part-time to start, with transition to full-time upon hire
- Must be available for on-call shifts 24 hours on Tuesdays and Wednesdays
Pay:
- $100/day for scheduled on-call shifts ($200 total for Tuesday & Wednesday)
- $18/hour while actively responding to service calls
