Landscape/Construction Assistant
Overview:
Express Employment Professionals is currently hiring a skilled Landscape/Construction Assistant to join a reputable local company. This is a full-time position with long-term potential for the right candidate. The ideal applicant will have hands-on experience in landscape construction and be comfortable working outdoors in a team environment.
JOB DUTIES:
- Assist with building retaining walls using a variety of materials
- Install fencing including wood, vinyl, and chain link
- Read and interpret blueprints and site plans to ensure accurate project execution
- Support site preparation, grading, and general construction tasks
- Operate basic hand and power tools safely and efficiently
- Maintain a clean and organized job site
- Follow all safety procedures and company guidelines
Requirements:
- Prior experience building retaining walls and installing fences required
- Ability to read and understand blueprints
- Construction or landscape labor experience required
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Reliable transportation and good attendance
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
Hours/Shift:
Full-time, typically Monday–Friday (schedule may vary based on project needs)
Pay:
$24–$28/hour DOE
