Overview
Express Employment Professionals is currently recruiting for a Rough Carpenter on behalf of a local restoration, remodel, and repair company. This is a great opportunity for an experienced carpenter looking to join a growing team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with residential and commercial construction projects and be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Perform rough carpentry work for restoration, remodeling, and repair projects
- Frame walls, floors, ceilings, and other structural components
- Install blocking, sheathing, subfloors, and structural supports
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work orders
- Measure, cut, and assemble building materials accurately
- Assist with demolition and reconstruction efforts as needed
- Maintain a safe and organized job site
- Collaborate with project managers and crew members to meet project deadlines
Qualifications:
- Previous rough carpentry experience required
- Knowledge of construction methods, materials, and tools
- Ability to read tape measures and perform basic construction math
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding work
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team
Requirements:
- Valid driver's license required
- Reliable transportation to travel between job sites
- Must provide your own tool belt and basic carpentry tools
- Ability to pass pre-employment screening requirements
