Our client, a company that restores anilox rolls for the printing industry is looking to add a Manual Lathe Operator to their team. Best part about this – NO EXPERIENCE IS NECESSARY! If you are willing to work hard with the willingness to learn, they will train you to become a Manual Lathe Operator.
Lathe Operator job highlights:
- Mon - Thurs, 4:15pm - 2:45am
- Work 4/10-hour shifts with the potential for overtime
- $17.00/hour

Responsibilities of Lathe Operators:
- Use overhead crane, or by hand, to load and unload machines.
- Ensure product meets quality standards before and after process (i.e. Taper, out of round, or TIR).
- Maintain a neat and orderly work area.
- Inspect and maintain equipment.
- Report maintenance or product issues to supervisor.
- Follow all safety procedures and policies.
- Must be able to read micrometer and dial indicator.
- Must clock rolls in/out of computer system.
- Must run machines efficiently.
- Perform required preventative maintenance.
- Other duties as specified by supervisors/management.
Qualifications of Lathe Operators:
- High school Diploma or Equivalent
- Manufacturing experience a plus but not necessary
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work overtime as required by the company
- Basic computer knowledge
- Ability to read or ability to learn to read measuring devices such as: tape measures and micrometers
- Ability to read or ability to learn to read blueprints
- Have a strong ability to problem-solve.
- Be punctual, meticulous, have the willingness to learn and cross train
