Our client, a company that restores anilox rolls for the printing industry is looking to add a Superfinisher/Polisher to their team. Best part about this – NO EXPERIENCE IS NECESSARY! If you are willing to work hard with the willingness to learn, they will train you to become a Superfinisher/Polisher.
Superfinisher/Polisher job highlights:
- Mon - Thurs, 6:00am - 4:30pm
- $17.00/hour

Responsibilities of Superfinisher/Polisher:
- Use a series of different polishing stones to achieve finish size and roughness using a lathe-like machine.
- Inspect anilox roll for taper, out of round, and blemishes to ensure product meets Harper quality standards.
- Conduct required routine maintenance on equipment.
- Report any maintenance or product issues to supervisor.
- Maintain neat and orderly work area.
- Run machine efficiently.
- Use overhead crane, or by hand, to load and unload product.
- Follow all Standard Operating Procedures and Standard Practice Instructions.
- Other duties, when necessary, as specified by production supervisor/management.
Qualifications of Superfinisher/Polisher:
- High school Diploma or Equivalent - REQUIRED
- Manufacturing experience a plus but not necessary
- Strong attention to detail is a must have
- Ability to work overtime as required by the company
- Basic computer knowledge
- Ability to read or ability to learn to read measuring devices such as: tape measures and micrometers
- Ability to read or ability to learn to read blueprints
- Have a strong ability to problem-solve.
- Be punctual, meticulous, have the willingness to learn and cross train
