Restoration Technician

We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Temporary Restoration Technician to join our client's team on a temporary basis to cover as-needed projects.
Restoration Technician Job Highlights:
- Temporary, as-needed basis, 1st shift (approximately 8am - 5pm)
- Pay is $20/hour
Restoration Technician Job Duties:
- Perform cleaning and debris removal using various hand tools and power tools to prepare damaged areas for restoration.
- Assist with water damage mitigation, including water extraction, drying, and moisture monitoring.
- Support fire damage cleanup efforts by removing soot, smoke residues, and damaged materials.
- Conduct mold remediation procedures following safety protocols to eliminate mold growth.
- Aid in construction-related tasks such as minor repairs, demolition, and installation of new materials.
- Utilize carpet cleaning equipment and techniques to restore flooring affected by water or fire damage.
- Follow safety guidelines during asbestos abatement procedures when required.
- Assist with asbestos abatement projects by handling materials safely under supervision.
- Maintain cleanliness of work sites and ensure all tools and equipment are properly used and stored.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of restoration projects while adhering to industry standards.
Restoration Technician Qualifications:
- Prior experience in the restoration industry is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided.
- Familiarity with cleaning techniques, fire restoration, water damage mitigation, mold remediation, and asbestos abatement is advantageous.
- Experience with hand tools, power tools, construction tasks, or carpet cleaning is beneficial.
- Knowledge of safety protocols related to asbestos handling and hazardous materials is a plus.
- Strong physical stamina and ability to perform manual labor in various environmental conditions.
- Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented attitude.
- Willingness to learn industry-specific procedures and certifications as needed.
