We are seeking a skilled CNC Horizontal Mill Machinist to join our client's dynamic team in De Pere, WI. Responsibilities
- Set up and operate CNC horizontal milling machines according to specifications and engineering drawings.
- Produce small order parts in a JOB SHOP environment.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders to determine machining operations.
- Monitor machine operations to ensure quality and adherence to specifications.
- Perform routine maintenance on machines to ensure optimal performance.
- Make adjustments to machine settings as needed to maintain quality standards.
- Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot and resolve machining issues.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols and procedures.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in machining is a plus.
- Proven experience as a CNC machinist, specifically with horizontal milling machines.
- Proven experience in a JOB SHOP environment where each part is different
- Strong understanding of CNC programming and G-code.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Proficient in using measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong commitment to safety and quality standards.
