Job Full Description
Express Employment Professionals is helping our client, a Shawano machinery manufacturer, hire an experienced and professional Accounts Payable Specialist to support their accounting team. This position requires previous accounting experience with invoice and payment processing, monthly, quarterly, and yearly accounting audits and reconciliations.

Accounts Payable Specialist Job Summary:
In this position, you will be responsible for all accounts payable processes, including but not limited to ensuring all invoices are accurate and paid, perform month end close procedures, entering invoices, general journal entries and bookkeeping, and collaborating with other departments to ensure accuracy and completeness of information.
Accounts Payable Specialist Duties:
- Processing and paying vendor invoices via check and ACH payments
- Interact with vendors and customers regarding discrepancies
- Support periodic accounting procedures, including month end, quarter end, and year end.
- Perform general journal entries and bookkeeping responsibilities
- Ensure accuracy of vouchers and invoices by 3-way match
Accounts Payable Specialist Requirements:
- Minimum of two years of experience in manufacturing accounting required
- Associates degree or higher in accounting or related field preferred
- Strong MS Office experience including Excel (pivot tables and VLOOKUPs required)
- Experience with ACH payments preferred
