CNC Machinist / Mastercam Programmer (West Milwaukee, WI)

Full-Time | Experienced | On-Site

We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist with strong Mastercam experience to join our team as a reliable backup programmer and hands-on machinist. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys both machine operation and contributing to programming tasks in a dynamic, short-run job shop environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and troubleshoot CNC machines to produce high-quality parts.
• Assist with Mastercam programming duties as a backup when needed.
• Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and work instructions with a high level of accuracy.
• Perform machining operations using X, Y, Z, W & B axis configurations.
• Work with large components ranging from 1–15 tons using overhead cranes safely and efficiently.
• Collaborate with team members to solve machining challenges and optimize processes.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area while following all safety protocols.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of CNC machining experience, including machine setup.
• Proficiency with CNC machine controls; Fanuc and Tosnuc controls strongly preferred.
• Experience operating multi-axis machines (X-Y-Z-W & B axis).
• Strong shop math, precision measurement, and problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to read and interpret complex blueprints and GD&T.
• Short-run / job shop experience highly preferred.
• Experience working with large parts and utilizing overhead cranes is required.
• Mastercam experience strongly preferred (programming or supporting programming tasks).
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative, team-oriented mindset.
