CNC Operator
Position Summary
Operate CNC machining equipment to manufacture precision components while maintaining quality standards, production schedules, and safe work practices. Monitor machine performance, make minor adjustments, inspect completed parts, and ensure all production documentation is completed accurately.
Essential Duties
- Operate CNC machining equipment in an efficient and productive manner.
- Set machine offsets and starting points as required.
- Load and unload parts while monitoring machine cycles and production output.
- Follow process sheets, setup instructions, and CNC programs to produce quality parts.
- Perform quality inspections using gauges, measuring instruments, and inspection documentation.
- Monitor tooling, machine performance, feeds, and speeds; perform minor troubleshooting as needed.
- Meet expected production schedules and maintain required documentation.
- Maintain a clean work area and adhere to 5S standards.
Qualifications
- Manufacturing or machining experience preferred, typically 3-6 years.
- Knowledge of CNC machining processes and machine operation.
- Ability to read work instructions, blueprints, and process documentation.
- Familiarity with measuring equipment and quality inspection procedures.
- Reliable, organized, and capable of working independently.
Physical Requirements
- Stand for 8-12 hours per shift.
- Frequently bend, squat, reach, and lift parts.
- Lift up to 50 pounds occasionally and push/pull up to 75 pounds.
