Accounting Supervisor
Salary Range: $55,000–$75,000 annually
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance or equivalent experience
Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Accounting Supervisor to support our Accounting Department and partner closely with the CFO. This role oversees daily accounting functions, provides mentorship to staff, and ensures accurate financial reporting. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of accuracy and professionalism.
Required Experience & Skills

3+ years of accounting experience, including supervisory responsibilities

Proficiency in MS Word and Excel; strong overall computer skills

Excellent communication, organization, punctuality, and reliability

Strong financial analysis, record-keeping, and administrative skills

Positive, professional demeanor

Thorough understanding of general ledger systems and financial reporting
Key Responsibilities

Supervise and train accounting staff

Assist the CFO with special projects and daily operational needs

Process billing and daily billing activities

Perform monthly general ledger reconciliations

Assist with daily bank reconciliations, including posting ACH deposits

Prepare annual 1099 forms

Support monthly closing processes

Assist with monthly financial reporting, including balance sheets and income statements

Monitor tax accounts and file sales tax returns

Manage monthly account reconciliations and collections

Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures

Perform CFO duties during their absence

Complete additional tasks as needed to support business goals
