    The role

    The heavy equipment technician repairs, troubleshoots, adjusts, overhauls, and maintains mobile heavy-duty construction equipment. They inspect engines, diagnose and repair faults, perform routine maintenance and dismantle and reassemble components.

    Experience: Over 20 years of experience as a Red Seal Heavy Equipment Technician

    Background:

    • 20 years working on road trucks, trailers, and pickup trucks: Kenworth, Peterbilt & Ford
    • 7 years working with off road loaders, back hoes, and forklifts: John Deere, CAT & Komatsu
    • Experienced with hydraulics and electrical work on power plant equipment, including conveyors & elevators
    • Experienced with CVIP inspections & repairs
    • 7 years of leadership experience as a Shop Lead Hand
