    A large manufacturing client of building products in Edmonton is looking for a Mill Foreman to join their team.

    Mill Foreman Salary:   $67,000/year with profit sharing

    Mill Foreman Responsibilities & Requirements: 

    • Supervise, co-ordinate and schedule the activities of workers who operate the paper machine and all associated duties
    • Ensure that systems and equipment are operating efficiently, and that proper maintenance and repairs are performed
    • Establish methods to meet work schedules and co-ordinate work activities with other departments
    • Resolve work problems and recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality
    • Requisition materials and supplies
    • Train staff in job duties, safety procedures and company policies
    • Recommend personnel actions such as job movement per the collective agreement
    • Prepare production and other reports
    • Monitor safety conditions
    • May set up machines and equipment
    • Relevant experience in a supervisory role, 3 to 5 years in a manufacturing environment
    • Proven ability to use Microsoft office and ERP
    • Inventory management experience
    • Strong interpersonal skills. Ability to work well with various nationalities and cultures
    • Must have proven communication skills and excellent English language skills (Written and Oral)

    Site Superintendent

    A local Edmonton construction client is searching for an experienced Site Superintendent  to join their team. This role will oversee the operations of a remodeling project at an active business site. The project will be mostly interior, with some exterior, refrigeration, reflooring, and metal cladding.

    Site Superintendent Responsibilities:

     

    • Coordinate project on site and manage trades and schedule
    • Oversee safety and safety program
    • Frequently communicate with the Project Manager
    • Supervising 5-15 people
    • Hands on work including wood backing, installations, hoarding, dust protections, etc.)

     

    Site SuperintendentRequirements:

     

    • Commercial construction experience of 3-5 years
    • Carpentry experience required (Journeyman/Red Seal)
    • Safety certificates (CSTS, first aid, WHMIS, fall protection, lift training)
    • Blueprint reading required
    • Knowledge of refrigeration and mechanical systems
    • Able to lift up to 50 lbs

     

    Site SuperintendentHours & Wage: 

     

    • $55/hour
    • 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM Monday to Friday

    Warehouse Supervisor

    A local South Edmonton client is searching for an experienced Warehouse Supervisor  to join their team. The Warehouse Supervisor provides overall leadership direction and support for the critical third shift warehouse operations. Our client is an Alberta-based pet food production company. 

     

    Warehouse Supervisor Responsibilities:

     

    • Prepare and distribute order plans, and work closely with the Distribution Manager to prioritize order plans and monitor their completion to facilitate timely and effective warehouse operations
    • Maintain individual and departmental productivity standards, ensuring compliance with current standards and procedures related to health and safety of employees, and to support inventory and building security
    • Document and communicate any productivity issues to the Shipping Expeditor
    • Oversee the secure and accurate loading and unloading of deliveries, and the sorting and distribution of incoming and outgoing shipments, document and resolve discrepancies that arise
    • Ensure that all quality issues are addressed in a manner that meets Company expectations, reporting problems or discrepancies to the Distribution Manager
    • Develop and demonstrate good communication practices and successful internal working professional relationships with staff
    • Collaborate with packaging supervisors to ensure effective floor support is provided
    • Provide leadership, guidance and/or direction to staff with regard to job duties and responsibilities and provide feedback for performance reviews
    • Assess the work performance of reporting employees on a regular basis and implement appropriate corrective measures as required and express encouragement and appreciation when appropriate
    • Participate in annual physical inventory as determined by the Company
    • Maintain a neat and organized work area according to established corporate policies, practices and safety regulations
    • Promote awareness and understanding of the Company's policies, practices and procedures related to health and safety, food safety, and the environment
    • Ensure compliance with all current processes and accurate and timely reporting of progress as well as any issues that arise while on shift

     

    Warehouse Supervisor Requirements:

     

    • Strong leadership skills with the ability to get results through mentoring others, effective coaching and performance management skills
    • Able to work and lead with little managerial support and oversight
    • Excellent verbal, written, interpersonal, and presentation skills; ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from clients, managers, teammates, and prospective customers
    • Strong critical thinking ability with good problem identification & resolution skills
    • Forklift Certification
    • Ability to pass a Drug & Alcohol and Fit-to-Work test
    • Ability to clear a Criminal Record Check and provide references
    • Strong interpersonal skills with ability to develop and maintain successful working relationships with diverse individuals/groups
    • Strong inventory reconciliation/management skills
    • Good basic mathematical skills, with ability to accurately weigh and measure items
    • Ability to balance multiple projects simultaneously while working in a fast-paced environment
    • Strong attention to detail, with ability to accurately complete required paperwork
    • Minimum 2 years experience with supervising front line staff in a performance-driven, fast paced environment
    • Strong sense of urgency, ability to lead/direct
    • Able to handle stress well 
    • Direct working knowledge of operations, warehouse management, and transportation management

     

    Warehouse Supervisor Hours & Wage: 

     

    • $70,000-$80,000/year
    • 9:30 PM - 6:30 AM

    This is a vital role, as you will be managing condominiums buildings in regards to addressing client concerns, coordinating requests for maintenance, regular inspections of the site and much more.

      We are representing one of the largest industry leader's in Equipment Supplies, who is seeking a Senior Fleet Manager (SFM), where you would be reporting to the Director of Operations. 

      This is a vital role as you would be developing maintenance strategies to enable effective costs for the division. 

      Job Highlights:

      • Developing and maintaining operations and infrastructure of successful delivery 
      • Creating and maintain strategies of the equipment
      • Overseeing successful delivery of industry equipment  
      • Working closely with Operation Managers and Regional Managers on driving maintenance KPI's. 
      • Resolving all industry equipment relation product issues with the department managers and technicians. 

      What we look for:

      • Red Seal trade certification in Heavy Duty Mechanic or Millwright 
      • 10+ years experience in repair/fleet maintenance in related industry
      • Experience with Financial Modeling of strategies and OEM's 
      • Strong business acumen, presentation and public speaking experience 
      • Ability to travel to required Branches throughout Canada. 
      • Experience with troubleshooting on equipment failures and conducting diagnostic analysis 

      Hours/Compensation:

      • Monday to Friday: 8:00AM to 5:00PM (OT as required)
      • $130K to $160K + benefits + 3 weeks vacation + 20% Bonus + car allowance
