    Technical Support Specialist

    An Edmonton client is searching for an experienced Technical Support Specialist  to join their team. This role provides technical assistance and help to HET on site, CSR to the internal employees and researching, troubleshooting, and mechanical advising for issues. 

    Technical Support Specialist  Responsibilities:

    • Responds quickly to equipment down situations where advanced troubleshooting is required.

    • Provides after hours technical support.

    • Track and monitor test programs in the field, communicate with the Reliability team and Corporate Technical Support.

    • Track and report product problems and provide status updates

    • Work closely with OEM reps and keep customers informed.

    • Identify and analyze technical issues which can impact availability and communicate to stake holders.

    • Continuously looking for improvements for the customer equipment.

    • Serves customers by providing information and resolving technical problems.

    • Acts as the liaison between SMS Equipment, Komatsu and the customer.

    • Resolves problems by asking questions and clarifying customer's concerns; determining the cause of the problem; explaining the best solution; making the correction or adjustment; and following up to ensure resolution

    • Attend product meetings as required

    • Leads task force committees on product issues

    • Prepares customer reports as required (Condition & Failure Analysis Reports)

    • Documents and communicates observations of customer equipment

    • Prepares reports (i.e. Field Service Reports and TSI) as required

    • Completes daily reports (i.e. Equipment Down or update)

    • Assists with special projects as assigned.

    • Support large machine outages or overhauls, when requested.

    • Attend weekly branch & customer meetings

    • Support warranty process as required

    • Creating & owning Komatsu technical request (TSI & TSR) from creation to conclusion (information package creation, submission, follow up, information delivery, final conclusion.

       

    • Embracing continuous improvement project to improve the customer fleet mechanical availability

    • Stay current with available technical information

    • Provide technical training for industry-specific needs, KA, updates

    • Provides technical support to ensure the success of both the preventative and predictive maintenance programs.

    • Equipment maintenance, repairs, experimental setups and improvement modifications.

    • Reviews equipment preventative, vibration and oil analysis programs as appropriate to maximize benefit

    Technical Support Specialist  Requirements:

    • Journeyman HET with 3-5 years experience additionally working with Komatsu or other heavy equipment. OFF ROAD ONLY

    • $130,000-140,000/year

      Our client, a leading property management company is looking for 5 Carpenter Journeymen.

      This is a dynamic role, as you will be working in a commercial setting within the petroleum industry, operating earthworks compaction equipment and drawing from commercial carpentry experience to complete tasks. 

       Job Highlights:

      • Operating general carpentry equipment, skidsteers, earthwork compaction equipment, and aerial platforms.
      • Conducting tasks while working alongside a team
      • Working with wood, framing, concrete framework
      • Managing earthworks and backfill, trenching, slab prep and site layout

       What we look For:

      • 2 to 5+ years of experience in commercial carpentry
      • A preference for Journeymen, but apprentices will be considered
      • Ability to retain information, directing and executing instructions diligently

        Hours/Compensation:

        • Evaluation Hire  
        • Mon-Fri; 7:00AM-5:00PM
        • $21.50/hour - $34.50/hour

        Mechanical Millwright

        A global company with operations in Edmonton is searching for a Mechanical Millwright who will have core responsibilities in maintaining and upkeeping industrial equipment. The Mechanical Millwright is a vital role within the company, working on a variety of equipment types (including drives, conveyers, and packaging equipment), including building and assembling mechanical components, repairing common mechanical issues, and running diagnostic tests to discover potential issues. Our Mechanical Millwright will most often work independently but will occasionally be expected to work well in a team when assisting production staff.
