An Edmonton client specializing in compressor manufacturing is searching for an experienced
Parts Manager
to join their team. This role will handle parts management, strategically plan inventory quantities, forecast, source, and stay up to date on trends in the market.
Parts Manager
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of parts and computer systems
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of compression parts and product lines
- Handle incoming parts inquiries from internal and external customers via phone, email or in person and maintain adequate records of correspondence sent and received
- Determine customer requirements and expectations in order to recommend specific products and solutions
- Ensure material request is available in stock, otherwise source and confirms selected products with the customer to ensure accuracy and completeness of the order
- Recommend alternate products based on cost, availability or specifications
- Prepare quotations, reviews and enters orders and internal stock transfers
- Accurately process customer transactions such as orders, quotes or returns.
- Coordinate and cooperates with other departments (i.e. Operations, Accounting, etc.)
- Manage inventory levels and purchases, including year-end in conjunction with operations and accounting
- Perform weekly cycle counts as well as monthly and yearly inventory counts
- Pull and provide parts for internal distribution/service center from works orders
- Restock consumable parts bins on weekly basis for internal distribution/service center
- Shipper/receiver duties
- Excellence in customer service and providing solutions to customers
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Parts Manager
Requirements:
- 2+ years of experience in customer service
- 5+ years of experience in a related industry or manufacturing environment
- Knowledge of MS Office applications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Journeyman or Senior Apprentice preferred (Parts certification)
- Strong customer service and troubleshooting skills with experience analyzing and resolving customer service and client issues
- Energetic and friendly with excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Self-starter with the ability to prioritize and organize workload in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent attention to detail with a sense of urgency to meet tight deadlines
Parts Manager Hours & Wage:
- Wage range: $35/hour-$50/hour
- 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM Monday to Friday
