Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Industrial Seamstress to join our team. This role involves working with heavy-duty fabrics to produce outdoor awnings, such as those used in parks and other outdoor environments. The ideal candidate will have experience operating both single-needle and double-needle (2-needle) commercial sewing machines and take pride in high-quality craftsmanship.
Responsibilities:
- Operate single-needle and 2-needle commercial sewing machines
- Sew and assemble outdoor awnings using heavy-duty materials
- Read and follow work orders, measurements, and production instructions
- Ensure seams are strong, consistent, and meet quality standards
- Perform routine machine maintenance and keep work area clean
- Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines
Qualifications:
- Experience with industrial/commercial sewing machines (single-needle and double-needle required)
- Ability to work with heavy fabrics and materials
- Strong attention to detail and quality
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently
- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in awning, upholstery, or canvas work
- Familiarity with measuring, cutting, and pattern alignment
Work Environment:
- Manufacturing/production setting
- Work involves handling large pieces of fabric and repetitive motion
