Plant Maintenance Technician – Part-Time
Pay: $17.00–$20.00/hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
Hours: Approximately 20–30 hours per week
Location: Hot Springs, AR
This is a Safety-Sensitive Position.
Express Employment Professionals is currently interviewing candidates for a Part-Time Plant Maintenance Technician position with a local company in Hot Springs!
This is a great opportunity for an experienced, hands-on maintenance professional who enjoys troubleshooting equipment, performing preventative maintenance, and keeping machinery operating safely and efficiently.
What You'll Do
- Perform preventative maintenance on engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machinery
- Troubleshoot mechanical and equipment malfunctions
- Follow diagrams, sketches, operation manuals, manufacturer instructions, and engineering specifications
- Identify sources of equipment problems by observing machinery while in operation
- Listen for unusual sounds or signs of mechanical issues
- Use precision measuring and testing instruments to diagnose problems
- Help maintain safe and efficient operation of plant machinery and equipment
- Perform general maintenance and repairs as needed
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- At least 1 year of verifiable experience in one or more of the following areas:
- Hydraulics
- Pneumatics
- Welding
- Mechanical maintenance
- Electrical
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to read and understand diagrams, schematics, and technical instructions
- Ability to work independently and follow safety procedures
Skills That Are a Big Plus!
Experience with any of the following is highly preferred:
- Welding
- Electrical
- PLC systems
- Schematics
- Hydraulics
- Pneumatics
- Mechanical systems
Physical Requirements
This position requires the ability to:
- Stand for extended periods of time
- Bend and stoop
- Crawl into or work in tight spaces when necessary
- Perform hands-on maintenance and repair tasks
- Safely handle tools and equipment
Hours are generally Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, although earlier start times may occasionally be required based on operational needs.
