Cost Accounting Specialist, Los Molinos, CA.
*Full-time, Monday-Friday, day shift position.
Pay starts at $20.00-$25.00/hour DOE.
Responsibilities of Accounting Clerk:
- Process vendor invoices, payments, allocations, and journal entries.
- Perform account reconciliations and assist with cost accounting analysis.
- Work with managers to understand and analyze cost-related tasks.
- File credit applications, manage W9 requests, and ensure vendor compliance.
- Handle monthly Workers’ Compensation reporting and payroll tax filings.
- Assist in quarterly and annual state/federal payroll reporting and audits.
- Enter timekeeping data and track employee leave (vacation, sick time, etc.).
- Identify and help resolve accounting discrepancies.
- Maintain organized and accurate financial records.
- Perform other office and administrative duties as needed.
Requirements of Accounting Clerk:
- Minimum 2 years of accounting experience and/or recent bookkeeping experience, including accounting software use.
- Payroll experience preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Access, Word, and Excel (ability to create/maintain workbooks).
- Self-motivated, dependable, and organized with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and ensure accuracy in financial reporting.
- Must pass pre-employment drug screening and background check.
