Job Full Description
Full time, long term opportunity available to an accounting professional with a minimum of 3 years experience. This role is responsible for preparing and reconciling day-to-day financial data, and maintaining accurate financial records by processing transactions, reconciling accounts, and supporting financial reporting.
Example of primary duties:
- Daily accounting and bookkeeping
- Preparing reconciliations of bank and GL accounts, including month and year end journal entries.
- Journal entries and maintaining general ledger
- Review and post AP, AR, payroll entries, and expense allocations
- Preparing balance sheet reconciliations
- Preparing financial reports
- Invoicing and billables
- Preparing monthly and quarterly invoices
- Maintaining billing and invoicing files (paper and electronic)
- Preparing payroll and benefits summaries with supporting documents for review
- Maintaining grants tracking wroksheet
Candidates for this role must have Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field, minimum of 3 years accounting experience (or combination of experience and education).
Skills and Abilities needed:
- Strong understanding of GAAP with strong hands on technical skills
- Experience in documentation of accounting processes and best practices
- Advanced Excel and the ability to design and utilize effective spreadsheets
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong communication skills
- The ability to multi-task
- General knowledge of law, regulation, and contractual requirements of governing non-profit functions and operations
- Demonstrates ethical business practices in conformance with all state and federal laws and regulation
