Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Manufacturing Accounting Manager to oversee and manage all accounting functions related to manufacturing operations. This role is critical to ensuring accurate cost accounting, financial reporting, inventory valuation, and budgeting in a fast-paced production environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage the month-end and year-end closing processes for manufacturing accounting
• Oversee cost accounting functions including standard costing, variance analysis, and inventory reconciliation
• Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure compliance with internal controls
• Prepare and analyze financial reports related to manufacturing operations (WIP, labor costs, material usage, scrap, etc.)
• Partner with operations and supply chain teams to ensure accurate reporting and support decision-making
• Lead budgeting and forecasting processes for manufacturing costs
• Monitor and report key performance indicators (KPIs) related to production and cost efficiency
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and company policies
• Support internal and external audits as needed
• Supervise and develop accounting team members as assigned
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or CMA preferred)
• 5+ years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a manufacturing environment
• Strong knowledge of cost accounting, inventory management, and ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, etc.)
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and financial reporting tools
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively across departments
Preferred:
• Experience with lean manufacturing, standard costing systems, and BOM structures
• Familiarity with manufacturing KPIs and operational metrics
