Job Title: Temporary Receptionist

 

Location: Torrance, CA

 

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM

 

Pay Rate: $19–$20/hour

 

Duration: 1 month with potential to extend up to 2 months

 

 

Position Summary:

 

We are seeking a dependable and professional Temporary Receptionist to support our Torrance office while an employee is on leave. This individual will be the first point of contact for visitors and will manage high-volume phone and mail operations. Strong communication, organization, and multitasking skills are essential for success in this role.

 

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

• Handle and route over 400+ incoming phone calls daily

 

• Monitor mailing bins and stamp outgoing mail for USPS/UPS pickup

 

• Sort outgoing mail by location (Torrance/Rancho)

 

• Apply department stamps with the date to all outgoing mail

 

• Distribute outgoing mail to the appropriate department bins

 

• Notify departments via message when they have mail in the front lobby

 

• Log all outgoing USPS/UPS mail

 

• Manage front door access—open and close lobby doors as needed

 

• Send out live checks biweekly and provide tracking details to BOD/TCs

 

• Reserve and manage conference room bookings

 

• Ensure the front lobby is clean, presentable, and well-organized

 

• Print and maintain the following forms:

 

• Visitor Sign-In Sheet

 

•  Visitor Policy Form

 

• Contractor Policy Form

 

 

Qualifications:

 

• Proven reliability and professionalism

 

• Prior experience in a receptionist or front desk role preferred

 

• Strong verbal and written communication skills

 

• Ability to manage high-volume tasks and stay organized

 

• Proficient with basic office equipment (copiers, scanners, printers)

 

• Able to commit to the full assignment duration
