Job Full Description
We are seeking an experienced Order Picker with food manufacturing experience to join our warehouse team. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in accurately picking, packing, and preparing food products for shipment while ensuring compliance with strict food safety, sanitation, and OSHA standards. This role requires prior experience in a food production or food distribution environment, with a strong commitment to accuracy, safety, and efficiency in a fast-paced setting.
Key Responsibilities
• Use RF scanners to accurately locate, pick, and verify food product orders.
• Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other equipment to move products within the warehouse.
• Build, wrap, and stage pallets for outbound food shipments to ensure accuracy and security.
• Follow all food safety and allergen control protocols while handling and moving inventory.
• Conduct routine equipment checks and adhere to OSHA and food industry safety standards.
• Assist with heavy lifting, material handling, and general warehouse duties as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of warehouse areas to comply with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices).
Qualifications
• Previous experience in food manufacturing, food distribution, or food production warehouse is required.
• Hands-on experience operating forklifts and warehouse equipment (certification preferred).
• Familiarity with RF scanners and inventory management systems.
• Knowledge of GMP, HACCP, and OSHA standards.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. repeatedly during the shift.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
