About the Role:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join a prestigious hospitality organization in Rancho Palos Verdes. This Temp-to-Hire role is ideal for someone with hospitality accounting experience who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can manage financial operations with accuracy and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements, reports, and reconciliations.
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable, ensuring timely processing and payment.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning specific to hospitality operations.
- Analyze financial data and provide insights to support management decision-making.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards, including GAAP.
- Support month-end and year-end close processes.
- Collaborate with internal departments to manage financial transactions related to hotel operations, including rooms, food & beverage, and events.
- Participate in audits and assist with any regulatory reporting requirements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
- 2+ years of accounting experience, preferably in the hospitality industry.
- Strong understanding of hotel/hospitality financial operations, including revenue management, payroll, and vendor relations.
- Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, M3, or similar) and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
