Job Title: Experienced AG Warehouse Manager
Position Summary:
We are seeking a seasoned AG Warehouse Manager with proven experience overseeing agricultural warehouse operations. The ideal candidate will manage all aspects of receiving, storage, inventory, and distribution while ensuring safety, efficiency, and regulatory compliance. This role requires a strong leader with a track record of optimizing warehouse processes, managing teams, and maintaining high productivity in fast-paced agricultural environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, mentor, and supervise warehouse staff, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance management.
- Oversee all warehouse operations: receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping of agricultural products and supplies.
- Maintain accurate inventory control, monitor stock levels, and coordinate with procurement and operations teams.
- Ensure compliance with safety, sanitation, and regulatory standards, including handling of perishable and hazardous agricultural products.
- Implement process improvements to maximize efficiency, reduce waste, and meet production and distribution goals.
- Operate and oversee the safe use of forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment at all times.
- Collaborate with management to meet customer service goals and support seasonal production demands.
Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years of warehouse management experience, preferably in agricultural or perishable goods operations.
- Strong leadership and team management skills with proven success in driving high-performance teams.
- Extensive knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory management, shipping/receiving procedures, and safety compliance.
- Hands-on experience with forklifts, pallet jacks, and heavy equipment.
- Strong problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
- Proficiency with warehouse management systems (WMS), Microsoft Office, and inventory software.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience managing cold storage, perishables, or fertilizers.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish)
- Lean or continuous improvement experience.
Work Environment:
- Fast-paced warehouse environment with heavy lifting and equipment operation.
- Exposure to agricultural products, fertilizers, and other warehouse materials.
- Flexible hours during peak seasons, including early mornings or weekends as needed.
