Job Title: Cost Accountant
Salary: $100,000–$150,000 (DOE)

 

Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Cost Accountant to support accurate product costing, inventory valuation, and financial reporting. This role partners closely with Operations, Engineering, and Procurement to provide actionable cost insights that drive sound business decisions. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment and is committed to data accuracy, confidentiality, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain standard costs, bills of materials (BOMs), and routings within the ERP system
  • Analyze material, labor, and overhead variances; provide meaningful, actionable insights
  • Support the monthly close process, including inventory valuation, allocations, and reporting
  • Assist with P&L forecasts, cost projections, and scenario analysis
  • Support new product quoting, cost roll-ups, and pricing decisions
  • Support cycle counts and conduct inventory reconciliations; investigate and resolve discrepancies
  • Collaborate with Operations, Engineering, and Procurement to validate production and cost data
  • Prepare cost reports, dashboards, and key performance indicators (KPIs) for stakeholders
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance costing accuracy and efficiency

Qualifications & Skills

  • Minimum 3-5 years of cost accounting experience in a manufacturing environment; injection molding industry experience preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong collaboration and interpersonal abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • High level of integrity with a commitment to confidentiality and data accuracy
