Position: Controls Testing Technician

We are seeking a detail-oriented technician to perform electrical testing, quality inspections, and troubleshooting on industrial equipment in a manufacturing setting. This role supports production quality by verifying functionality, interpreting technical documentation, and ensuring compliance with safety and engineering standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Test and verify industrial electrical equipment (24VDC–480VAC) to ensure proper function and safety compliance
- Use electrical testing tools (multimeters, insulation testers, high-potential voltage testers, etc.)
- Read and interpret electrical and mechanical schematics, diagrams, and technical documentation
- Perform quality control inspections, document results, and identify non-conformances
- Support troubleshooting of electrical, PLC, VFD, and mechanical/pumping systems (as needed)
- Travel between facilities for quality checks, audits, and training support
- Maintain accurate records and follow established procedures, safety rules, and regulatory requirements
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- 0–2 years of experience in electrical troubleshooting, PLCs, VFDs, or control systems preferred
- 0–2 years of quality control or manufacturing inspection experience preferred
- Ability to use hand tools and electrical test equipment
- Ability to read schematics and technical drawings
- Strong teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work overtime and flexible schedules as needed
- Must be able to meet physical demands of a manufacturing environment, including lifting up to 50 lbs, standing for long periods, and working at heights with PPE
Work Environment
- Manufacturing setting with exposure to noise, dust, fumes, temperature variations, and industrial equipment
- Requires strict adherence to safety procedures and use of personal protective equipment
