Express Employment Professionals is seeking a Chemical Technician for a growing company in New Milford, CT! Schedule: Full-time, approximately 40 hours per week, overtime available as needed
Pay: $18-$19
Work Environment: Warehouse setting
What You'll Do:
- Repackage chemicals from large containers into smaller quantities by hand
- Read and follow work orders and product specifications
- Maintain accurate documentation and inventory records
- Handle hazardous waste and manage waste streams safely
- Keep work areas clean, organized, and free of safety hazards
- Procure packaging materials and prepare products for shipment
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Ability to safely handle hazardous, flammable, and corrosive materials
- Strong attention to detail and paperwork accuracy
- Basic math skills and ability to interpret work orders
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Able to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks throughout the shift
- Ability to lift up to 70 lbs., push up to 500 lbs. using a drum cart, and climb ladders up to 15 feet
