Job Full Description
We are seeking an experienced Production Manager to oversee daily manufacturing operations. This role is responsible for managing production schedules, supervising shop floor personnel, driving continuous improvement, and ensuring quality, safety, and delivery targets are consistently met.
The ideal candidate brings hands-on technical knowledge along with proven leadership in a precision manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day production operations for metal stamping and secondary manufacturing processes
- Plan and execute production schedules to meet customer demand, quality standards, and delivery commitments
- Supervise, train, and mentor machine operators, setup technicians, and support staff
- Optimize machine utilization, tooling, setup times, and material flow
- Troubleshoot production issues related to fourslide tooling, setups, and machine performance
- Collaborate with Engineering on new product launches, tooling design, and process improvements
- Ensure compliance with quality standards, safety regulations, and company policies
- Monitor KPIs including efficiency, scrap, downtime, and labor performance
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives (5S)
- Coordinate with Maintenance to ensure equipment reliability and preventive maintenance adherence
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of manufacturing leadership experience, preferably in wire forming or metal stamping
- Strong hands-on knowledge of fourslide and/or multi-slide machines a plus
- Experience managing production teams in a precision manufacturing environment
- Ability to work from job orders, process sheets, engineering blueprints and drawings, and specifications
- Basic computer skills and basic CAD knowledge
- Solid understanding of tooling, setups, materials, and secondary operations
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Proficient in ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Office
Preferred Qualifications
- Technical degree or equivalent experience in Manufacturing, Engineering, or related field
- Lean manufacturing experience
- Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally
